Build a computer
I'm buying parts for a gaming computer and I was wondering if it would turn out a good computer.  This is my first ever build. Thanks! CPU: i7 3820k overclocked to 4.2 ghz , graphics card: sapphire 11179-09-20g hd 6870 16b gddf5  , psu: corsair cmpsu-800guk gaming series GS 800 high performance 800w psu , motherboard: gigabyte x79-ud3 motherboard  ,memory: 8gb corsair 1600mhz ddr3  , windows 7 home premium  , memory drive: generic hard disk drive 1.5tb sata 3.5  , CPU cooler: arctic cooling freezer i30 high performance CPU cooler , computer case: zalman z11 plus

do you actually need to overclock when the cpu is already fast enough? well if you are talking about the specs if it is good enough, yeah it is good enough to last you for some time

With today’s processors overclocking is not really necessary anymore.Sounds like you are going a little overboard on some hardware. Been a gamer for years here from the early days of World of Warcraft, Everquest and the like..Have not really seen a PC today that can’t run the best of games like Guild Wars and other graphic intense programs. You should be more than fine.
