Fire suppression system for server room
Can you give me a lead to someone in San Jose area that does install of Novec 1230 or FM-200 systems for very low prices mentioned on website? A figure of $2.50 per square ft is mentioned.  I have been quoted prices in area of $35.00 per square foot.  Why?

Answer Wiki:
Mike, you indicate that you have been quoted for both $2.50 a square ft and also $35.00 a sq. ft. Clean Agent systems, like FM-200, ECARO-25, or the fluids, are gaseous agents and the quantity is determined by the protected room's volume. The industry norm is to provide a cubic foot estimate rather than a square foot because the room's height affects the overall square foot area. Typically, a ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) or Ballpark pricing would range is based upon the following room sizes: Room size in square feet: Price per Cubic Foot: 50-300 sq. ft. $8-$30.00 per cu. ft. 300-500 sq. ft. 6-8.00 per cu. ft. 500-1,000 sq. ft. 3-8 per cu. ft. 1,000-5,000 sq. ft. 2-3.00 per cu. ft. 5,000-10,000 sq. ft. 2.00 +/- per cu. ft. As you can see, the price per cubic foot decreases as the volume increases. Can you tell me the dimensions of your room including the height?

The cost is $/square feet or $/cubic feet?
My space is 6700 square feet, 12 feet height.

The cost should be 6700 x 2 = $13400 or 6700 x 12 x 2 = $160800?

It is expensive!

Thanks
