Q:
Finding a good institution to pursue a CCIE certification
I am looking for an institute in South India to pursue a CCIE certification. How do I narrow down my options and figure out which institution has a well-equipped lab with experienced faculty?

There are lots of ways in which you might accomplish this task, but the best methods would have to include the following:
1. Make some contacts with your local Cisco offices, and see if you can talk to one of their staff CCIEs (Cisco has many times claimed that it could itself hire the entire CCIE population, and in fact does have many CCIEs on staff, though nowhere near all of them).
2. Use local Web sites, social and professional networking types especially, to find CCIEs in your part of India. Ask them how they earned their credentials and what programs and facilities they would recommend. I think you'll find that most of them obtained their knowledge and skills on the job, working with Cisco tools and technologies, rather than taking a more traditional "certification prep" or "cert training" route.
This should provide you with enough information to help you decide how to pursue this goal further. Good luck with your research and your career planning. Many, many people attempt the CCIE, but only a choice handful actually earn one.
