Say documentation files for example a plain old .TXT file.This could be a users simple text file or an applications help documentation. I’d approach this issue from the user end. What software do they have and what are the save file formats for that application? If they do not have authorized software, then if they lose their files they should have known better.Anything other than that must be part of the OS or installed authorized  software.
