find font identifier for as-400 printer
I have an Epson LQ-570+ printer which works great with one AS400 application and horribly with another. I changed dip switches to emulate IBM and now I have huge typeface on printouts (but at least both programs produce the same typeface and cpi --so I feel I have gained something)..... I need to know find Printer Font Table. I have followed direction in crtdevprt command but don't see the font table (with fonts id'd by name) anywhere. HELP!

Answer Wiki:
Outside of the InfoCenter Printing topics -- Best guess for what you need is the Printer Device Programming manual. It might not be easy picking out the particular detail that you're after. Skim through the table of contents, then go straight to Appendix D. -- Working with Fonts, Font Character Sets, Code Pages, CHRIDs, and Coded Fonts. Read the first couple pages or so before deciding to go through the rest of the appendix or to hit other sections. You can scroll fairly quickly through it to catch tables and lists. Tom
