FileOpenDialog in VB 2005

I'm a novice coder in attempt to create small utilitize to help manage Microsoft Network. I have a two questions. I'm using Visual Basic 2005 Express d/l from Microsoft. 1. I noticed in the toolbar section there are links to create OpenFileDialog and SaveFileDialog. How are these used, meaning how do I call these objects to open the dialog? I've created code to call up the common dialog but my assumption with these links is that Microsoft has made a bit easier to call up these dialog boxes but I can't seem to find a way to call them up. 2. How do I connect to a remote machine's registry? I've been able to figure it out using VBScript but in VB it's a different story.

heres some code i use to let the user point me at an XML file:

SaveFileDialog SFD = new SaveFileDialog();
SFD.AddExtension = true;
SFD.CheckFileExists = false;
SFD.CheckPathExists = true;
SFD.DefaultExt = @”.XML”;
SFD.Filter = @”XML Files (*.XML)|*.XML”;
SFD.Title = “SRS Report Installer”;
SFD.ShowDialog();
OutputFilePath.Text = SFD.FileName;
