 File transfer between AS400 and Windows Vista without a shared drive
AS/400 File Transfer, CPYFRMPCD, CPYTOPCD, Vista
I'm told by my tech guys that we cannot map a shared drive in Vista. In order to transfer files to and from the AS400 I use the cpytopcd and cpyfrmpcd commands to a shared drive. Any suggestions in regard to transferring files to and from an AS400 to a PC utilizing Windows Vista would be greatly appreciated!

Hi RPGILer I'm not on Vista, but I've got access to lots of server folders without mapped drives. I'm sure your tech guy told you the truth but failed to help you to solve your problem. Try asking, how to get access to a shared folder on the server from your Vista box. Alternatively you can FTP the files to your PC. Phil
