How do I transfer a file from the PC to the iSeries?

Answer Wiki

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You can use the FTP protocol, specifying the transfer mode (binary or ascii) corresponding to your file.
You can also use the iSeries Navigator, part of the Client Access IBM software.

How do I transfer a file from the PC to the iSeries? That depends on what you mean by "transfer". FTP is a possibility, but the File Transfer function of iSeries Access might be much more appropriate. Can you describe the process that you're involved in? How will the file be used on your iSeries? What kind of file is it? Where did it come from? Tom
