Hi, I have a logical file, which I am trying to open in I-O mode, but I get File status 90 File is existing on the system, The code was working fine previously (on development machine), but today I installed all the objects on another machine (Testing machine), and I am getting this file status, both the PF and LF are existing on the system. This still works fine on my development machine, but the problem is on testing machine only.

Software/Hardware used:
As400 , COBOL DB2

It doesn't matter if a file exists. It only matters if the program can find the file. How did you ensure that the program knew where the file was? Does the program have the authority to find the file? Or the file might exist, but there is no member. Also, what messages in logged in the joblog when the file status is signaled? In addition to basic causes, almost all CPF messages from CPF4101 through CPF5699 can result in file status 90. Much more info is needed. About the only thing that file status 90 tells you is that an I-O related error was seen. -- Tom
