    A file server is a storage server ( where u can save ur files and data ) A domain level is the level at which your windows network operating system is working at , for eg : windows 2000 native , windows 2000 mixed and windows 2003 beware there is also forest level . your question was a bit vast , be more precise what u searching for mate thx
