Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

The quickest and easiest way would probably be to use a program like Cute PDF This program acts like a printer, but generates a PDF file of what is being printed rather than a hard copy. The engineers where I work use Cute PDF in this way and they seem to be happy with it. In addition the program is FREE!
Good Luck!

I have found some odd quirks at times with CutePDF. Bullzip PDF printer seems to have more features and more stability. Find it at BullZip.

For this purpose, you can download acad dwg to pdf converter (free) and even it supports autocad drawing format from R2.5 to version 2014.

There are any number of free utilities to convert files to PDF. Several have been mentioned here. They all convert the print file that is sent to printer to PDF. They then can be opened and displayed in Adobe Reader. Adobe Reader though will not allow you to edit the file after it is created, only display it. You can make some notes to it though.

However, there is Adobe pdf writer in the market, but this is not free to use. Through this software, you can edit any pdf file. Trial version is there, and can try it.

There is a freeware graphics program I use called GIMP. According to the link I see you can import a DWG and then export it as a PDF file format. You could give that a try.
