I am going to use a fibre channel card to access data (in a non-standard file system) from a Removable Memory Module. I need to be able to send raw SCSI commands to, for example, check status of the disk, 'request sense', read a block of data, write a block of data etc. I haven't yet been able to find a fibre channel card with a suitable driver that will allow me to easily send raw SCSI commands

But thats how FC cards work. FC is a transport mechanism and SCSI is the default protocol. what you need is something like this www.scsiexplorer.com
