 Facility and disaster recovery
Our global company is interested in outsourcing the disaster recovery for our manufacturing facilities.  For example, if there is a fire at a plant, we need a point person who is the expert at getting general contractor to get crews in to clean up debris, hire electricians to repair electrical, etc.

most Disaster Recovery articles that I've read seem to deal more with intellectual property and communications, than the actual manufacturing facility--which, if off-line can cost companies millions of dollars.

Do you know of any companies that provide this overarching service or do you know of a consultant who could advise us how to proceed?

I’m not in that vertical, but I would imagine that a lot of it would involve just having companies under contract to handle the clean up for you. Make a list of everything needed to get you plant up and running for every disaster you can think off. Then find companies in your area that are willing to partner with you to do the repairs in the event of a problem.

I would assume the biggest problem would be the tool venders as they are probably pretty specific and getting some of that stuff replaced could take a while.
