Our storage group manages the SAN. These are the things that we dont do; physical install of HBA & install of driver or path management software (both done by sysadmin with storage group guidance), run the cable between host & switch (done by network operations), any volume manager work (done by sysadmin). We do verify that the luns provisioned can be seen by the host before we turn over to sysadmin for volume manager work. Our SAN is fibre channel.
