We need to export the windows server 2003 SAM database to a standalone server for an external security audit. Where do I find this file or how can I export the data needed?

This could be considered a hacking question and that may be why it has not been answered before. We try not to promote hacking techniques on this forum as there are many other places on the web for those activities. With that being said, a tool many auditors I have seen use is the <a href="http://www.systemtools.com/somarsoft/?somarsoft.com">dumpsec tool</a>. It also might be useful for you to share with us exactly what information the auditor is looking for as there might be better tools for this purpose.
