Export Layout to Model Space Tool Excludes Dimensions

I have a standalone installation of AutoCAD 2008 SP 1 with the Export Layout to Model Space Tool add-on. (I also run ME10 2000+, Release 10.50 17-Nov-2000 for which AutoCAD drawings are translated to. (We are in the process of migrating to AutoCAD 2009. Currently only the drafters run AutoCAD with plans to upgrade the engineers in the next few months.)

When I export a layout to model space my dimensions are not preserved. This, in turn, makes the dimension wrong in ME10. Is there a known work-around for this issue?

I have had success in ensuring my dimensions in model and paper space match. However, the paper space drawings are necessary in model format to be sent to engineering.
