    More information is needed.

    First, are you running into a problem when you try?

    Then, are you asking about an actual "folder", or is it a simple directory that contains the data? A "folder" is a specific object type on an AS/400, and it can have restrictions that don't apply to normal directories. In general, folders are obsolete and should not be used.

    Finally, what exactly do you mean by "export"? If data is in a directory in a streamfile, it only needs to be designated for sharing to a Windows network. It's not exported as such; Excel would simply open the streamfile just like it would open file on any other shared directory in your network.
