Can you explain to me the syntaxes of triggers used in SQL Server 2005? Could you also give me a simple example of a trigger?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

The trigger to create a syntax is very basic.

CREATE TRIGGER TriggerName ON dbo.YourTable
FOR INSERT, UPDATE /*can also include DELETE*/
AS
UPDATE AnotherTable
Set ThatColumn = SourceColumn
FROM inserted
WHERE AnotherTable.keyColumn = inserted.keyColumn
GO

The big trick is to use the inserted and deleted table as the source of your data instead the actual table name.
