If I am Exporting Oracle 8i Database to new Oracle10g there is any problem with Oracle block sizes during import ? where as Oracle 10g has defaultly 8kb block size and Oracle 8i has 2kb Block size so it can import 8i database to 10g without any problem or we have to create additional 2kb block size during the time of Database creation of Oracle10g .

Hi,

There's no problem exporting from a database with one block size and importing into a database with another block size. Export/import is a logical operation, and it makes no attempt to copy physical characteristics (like ROWID).
