Q:
Expanding Group Names In Emails
I have mobile users (salesmen) that send sales reports using a button in the form.  The button is programmed using LotusScript and to automate the mailing process, the groups are selected based on the product types listed in the report.

Some of the emails reach their designated people because the groups are expanded and show the people’s email addresses.  Some of the emails do not because the email address is shown as the native group name.  Example: NA.Sales.Cellulose.Reports.  I know this because I am blind-copied on all sales reports.

My question is: Is there a setting in the user’s Lotus Notes that controls whether or not group names should be expanded.  This problem has me baffled.

Thanks for your help. michaellist@yahoo.com

If the group exists in the PERSONNAL adress book on the client side, it will automaticaly expand by the Notes client when you will send your message (cause the Domino router will not know later what is inside !)

Do you have also internet adress in this group (jdoe@mydomain.com) or only Notes adress (like John Doe/My OrgUnit/My Organisation) ?

Yes, there are both Notes addresses and Internet address in the groups.
