TELNET exit programs
Hi all, I need a way of allowing only certain IP addresses the ability to telnet to our system on port 23. This would be until the time that they can upgrade their client. So as an example, we need an exit program to do the following: * Allow 124.4.* to telnet into our system via port 23. * Deny all others on port 23. I've found DEVINIT1 & 2 Telnet exit programs but they are written in C and we don't have experienced C programmers in our group. Any ideas on a exit program here. It doesn't sound too difficult but is beyond my skill set. Thanks, Barry

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You seem to be looking for something similar to iptables on linux operating systems.
You might want to try WIPFW. I have not tried it, but I think it can do what you need.
