Recently I have had many alerts appear on my screen saying that an executable in that program has changed and to accept or block. What is the cause of these alerts?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Some antispyware software is running on your machine, and it is alerting you because an executable file has been changed, and it could mean that some kind of malware has infected your computer.

If you did not deliberately install or update a program that uses the executable file mentioned in the alert, you might want to block it.

Agreed - sounds like 1) a program was updated and the "EXE" changed, thus alerting your AV /FW software or 2) something not-so-friendly has gotten into yuor system..
