Why can't I open my EXE files....says I need an association

Thanks for coming to ITKE. A .EXE file is an executable file not a souirce file. You RUN an EXE not Ooen it.- (t may have been the wrong synax that he was using. Since if you try to Open it you will be prompted to run the problem not get an association error.-Ramsey) If you do a google search for .exe, you will get more than enough information to answer your question.

You did not provide too much information. Does it not run or just opens the wrong program? If it is the second one you can use the hotfix here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950505. If not then need more information. Is it every exe files or just certain ones. What is the exact error message.
