“Exchange Virtual Server” member of “exchange domain servers”
Hello, I had one question, should the EVS be member of the "exchange domain servers" group? My organization's environment is very strictly controlled. While installing exchange on the cluster nodes, i got a permission error and it asked me to add the servers manually into the "exch domain servers" group before proceeding with the installation. So once i added exch nodes (using an account with AD Enterprise admin rights) into the exch domain servers group the installation went fine. Then i went ahead and created the 3 EVSs. But i dont see them in the exchnage domain servers group. Should they be in this group? Thanks in advance! thanks aknair.

Answer Wiki:
Only the physical node server names need to be in the Exchange Domain Servers list. We have been running an Exchange cluster successfully for a couple of years, and our virtual server names do not appear in the Exchange Domain Servers.
