Exchange server restoring selected mailboxes from edb file
Exchange 2003, Exchange Storage Group, EDB, Exchange Backup
I have *.edb, *.GUID and *.log files as backups
for some Storage Groups. Is there a way to list the mailboxes from
these files alone and restore a specific mailbox to the exchange
server?
Is there a way to accomplish my
requirement without having to purchase a third party tool?

With Exchange 2003 you have to restore the mailbox database,not an individual malbox, unless you are doing brick level backups. Once you have restored the database you can recover a single mailbox from it using exmerge. You will restore using the Recovery Storage Group which makes the task very easy.
