We have an exchange server that has been servicing records as follows: user1@alpha.company.com is an alias for user1@bravo.company.com. All mail destined for alpha is forwarded to bravo e-mail address. We now need to only use the @bravo.company.com e-mail and set up an auto reply on the alpha.company.com to let the sender know that the old e-mail address is no good and to contact the user at @bravo.company.com.
Is there a way to make an auto-reply for an entire domain in Exchange?

This cannot be done natively in Exchange, however, it can be done if you use a product like Sendmail or Ironmail as your Internet mail gateway server in front of your Exchange bridgeheads.
One note of caution when using auto-replies on a domain-wide basis. If a spammer is probing for valid e-mail addresses and comes across your auto-reply that returns a valid email address, be prepared to handle lots more spam…. and some grief from your customers.
You can setup an autoreply on exchange with codetwo software, check this out: http://www.codetwo.com/blog/email-auto-responders-on-exchange-server/2633
