 Exchange Server 2007 message size error (0×80040610)

Exchange 2007, using Outlook 2007 Outlook is setup in Exchange server cached mode. I get the following error when trying to send an e-mail with an attachment larger than 10 MB (from any account): error (0x80040610) : 'The message being sent exceeds the message size established for this user.' The e-mail just sits in the outbox.

If you are not the Exchange Admin, ask the Exchange Admin to check the global send size limits and tell you what that limit is. Sounds like your email exceeds that size limit. Try zipping the file to get it smaller and see if it will send then. By default the Size limit is 10Megs it can be easily changed through the management shell.
