Hi,
I'm working on Exchange Server 2007 and working on it's e-mail managegement system. I've created some managed folders and policies for the same. I've assigned the policies to the user mailboxes to show the managed folders to the users. The problem started after 30 days expired as I'm using trial version for 120 days.
Now I'm not able to see the managed folders/policies created and not even able to create a new one. I'm not even able to see the default managed folders in Exchange Management Console but I can see them in Outlook client/Web Client. When I try to create a new managed folder, it says please check whether ELCFolderContainer exists. I checked and all the values are fine there as ELCFolderType attribute should be 13 for custom managed folders and 5 for default folders.
It was not an issue for me as I was able to drag and drop the mails into the managed folders and it was working fine for me.
But now I'm neither able to delete the existing mails in managed folders nor able to drag and drop a mail into any managed folder. Even folder assistant is also not working and I'm getting the below mentioned error:
Event ID: 10001
The managed folder assistant did not provision mailbox sysadmin:0bd4c8c4-dcfc-4786-a33a-d2a98b356c5a:/o=First Organization/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Recipients/cn=sysadmin because there is corrupt data in Active Directory. Exception details: Microsoft.Exchange.Data.DataValidationException: The AddressForJournaling parameter must be specified when Journaling is enabled.

I searched for the solution but didn’t get much help. The only solution I got is to remove the users & policies, create them and assign the policies again to the users which can’t be done in my case as I'm not able to see the list of managed folders and policies created earlier in Exchange Server Console and I'm not even able to create new managed folders/policies.
Also when I run the below command in exchange management shell:
start-managedfolderassistant -mailbox sysadmin
I get and error:
cannot find a MDB that hosts this mailbox.
Please help.
