Routing Groups
We have 2 Front-End Server and 2 Back-End Exchange Servers in the same routing group. When we send mail Internally (Back-End Server A to Black-End Server B) the message routes through the Front-End Server. I thought this was a result of all the servers in the same routing group. We want internal mail to route directly from Back-End Server to Back-End Server and not take a hop through the Front-End Servers. Any Suggestions?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

That is the function of the front end server. Mail goes to it first and it sends it to the back end server on which the mailbox is located. This is working as designed.
