Hi,
I could really use some help on this one
I'm responsibel for installing exchange in my company, and everything was going well until the day I started to mess around with the Notes Connector, never got it to work like I wanted it too, and finally decided not to use it. All this Notes crap on my new exchange server, aarrggg not my cup of tea, so I decided to reinstall the exchange server, and this is where I really messed up, I forgot to uninstall the old exchange installation.
My reinstalled server was now up and running again, and I started to install exchange, setup failed and then it hit me that I had forgotten to uninstall before reinstalling the server. A quick search on google and I found a KB article (KB273478 - How to completely remove Exchange 2000 or Exchange 2003 from Active Directory), I completed the steps in the article and tried to run setup again, and now I get a msg. box saying:
"To install the first Exchange server in a domain, or to run setup in "/ForestPrep" mode, you must be an Exchange Full Administrator at the organization level. You must use an account that has been granted the Full Exchange Administrator role on the Exchange organization using the Exchange Administrative Delegation Wizard"
I installed the exchange System management tools, and used the delegate control task to make sure that I was full admin, and I am. I've the following rights: Schema admin, ent. admin, domain admin, local admin, and exchange full admin, but no matter what kind of install I try (forest-domainprep or normal setup) I get the same error, can anyone help me please
*UPDATE*
Tried to uninstall the System Management Tools, but I get the same error as before "....You must be an Exchange Full Administrator at the organization level" wierd!!, I then tried to run setup again with the /removeorg switch, same error. I've no idea about what to do next, is there someone who can tell me what to remove/edit in the Schema with ADSIedit, so I can make a new installation?
Regards
Rasmus
