This error suggest a possible DNS issue, however, you need to check the log file for errors before and after this particular event to see if something else is causing the problem.

    One of the key things to make sure is that your AD is working correctly.... From my previous encounters a while ago I had my DNS servers running with WINS...for some reason my WINS services became groggy and caused Exchange SA to fail. Rebooted my WINS server that was giving me problems and restarted all Exchange services.... all was good after that. P.S. Provide more info about your AD environment... I.E. OS, AD functional levels etc...the more info you provide the better feedback you will get. Regards, Vincent
