Our Exchange Server 2007 mailbox database dismount due to an unknown error. We attempted several times to re mount the mailbox but without success. Is their anyone who is familiar with this error and resolve it?

It will be great if you can provide history about this issue,
were you able to find any evet IDs related to Information Store and have you tried running eseutil /mh command to know if the database is in consistent state.

    is there anything more to the error or any events in the eventlog that correspond to the time frame where you tried to start the information store? One helpful tool to try is to clear the system and application log (saving the logs of course) and then try to simply start the informatuion store, then check the logs for what was placed in there. I've not seen this specifically on 2007, but I have seen situations where drives were full (either the database drive or the logs drive) and that resulted in the information store dying suddenly and not being able to restart.
