Exchange Capabilities
We currently have an Exchange Server that is not being used. Our mail and website are both hosted by EasyCGI. The problem is that we cannot see shared calendars and we access our mail over a Pop3 account on the web. If we use our Echange Server for all of our mail and host it internally would we be able to access it over the web without having to VPN into our individual laptops? Is there a module or other application we would have to purchase to do this?

Answer Wiki:
Depending on your version of Exchange, you can utilize Outlook Web Access. We're using Exchange 2003 and for users external of the domain, they log into email witn OWA. It works fairly well. Everything has it's limitations, but you don't need a VPN just to get your email. If I remember right, Exchange 5.5 and below do not have OWA. ********* Also if this is Exchange 2003 or 2007 you can set it up for RPC over http(s). That way users can use their outlook client over the internet as well if they do prefer that over OWA. ~ technochic

The problem is in the configuration of the exchange domain in that we do not have an external link that feeds it mail. All of our mail comes from easycgi.com. We can set it up as webmail but it will not synch with outlook. I am pretty much a layman when it comes to this type of work (marketing professional here) so any kind of help is always appreciated! Any ideas??
