Exchange 2010: I created several room mailboxes (for our conference rooms, etc..). When I attempt to open their calendars in Outlook 2010, it works fine. I can see the booked meetings. With the same account, if I attempt to open the calendars in Outlook 2007, I receive the message - "You do not have permission to view this calendar...Do you want to ask etc....to share its calendar with you.."

Does any know why this happened? I'm hoping I don't need to grant full access...

OL 2010 has introduced a new feature like ability to display data in a calendar view. While this feature is not available in OL 2007.  To do the same, the user must grant you reviewer or higher permission. What you thought that is not fully OK.
