Exchange 2007 Passwords not accepted

Exchange 2007, Email (systems), Outlook

I am installing a new exchange 2007 server. For whatever reason I am not able to connect via pop3 nor am i able to connect via exchange through outlook. Both are asking for user/pass. I have even tried to create a new user that wasnt in AD already to make sure that the password was correct. I believe that my settings are correct but not possitive. I have changed the popsettings to accept plaintext passwords... I have started the pop3 and IMAP4 services also.

My send connector (1) are setup with FQDN (mail.city.com), address space * for the domain and smtp type. Network is setup to use domain name system (DNS) "MX" Records to route mail automatically.

My Receive connectors (2) are setup with FQDN (mail.city.com), network (local IP) All Available port 587 (Remote IP) 0.0.0.0 -255.255.255.255, Authentication the following is checked, Transport layer security, Basic Authentication , offer basic authentication only after..., Integrated Windows Authentication. Permission groups all is checked except Partners.
The Second receive connector is setup the same with the exception of the port is 25

Troubleshoot the Outlook client connectivity issue first, before the POP issue.

Can you connect via OWA?

Is the MAPI (Outlook) logon issue restricted to one desktop or from multiple desktops?

Is name resolution working properly?

Any errors/warnings in the app event log on the Exchange 2007 server?
