I have installed Exchange 2007 into an Exchange 2003 environment. Now I have two problems that I just can't seem to resolve.
I am trying to replicate and remove the 2003 server. But, in order to do that I need to be able to upgrade the public folders so they can be managed by the 2007 server. I have used Set-PublicFolder -Recurse -Identity "Default Public Folders" -ForceUpgrade $True and I get a returned response that the command completed successfully, but there was nothing to do. Why?!....
I do have all folders replicating to the 2007 server (tested by shutting down 2003 and working with the folders, and sending mail to them from outside. It works.
Also, the 2003 server is the mail bridgehead. How do I change that?
I did try removing the server before completing the upgrade of the public folders, but I get a message that I can't remove Exchange because it is the bridgehead.
Somebody help me.....
