I'm new to Exchange and am trying to understand the output of Message Tracking.  I have User1 who sent an internal message to User2 at 15:56 and User2 claims they didn't receive it until 9am the next day.  They had been emailing/cc'ing the same message back and forth so narrowing by subject limits it to only 2 messages.  Am I understanding correctly that it was immediately delivered?  I'm guessing that the second entry is another in the line of multiple messages using the same subject. Timestamp         EventID   Mess.Id  ClientIp  ClientHost  ServIp 05/05 15:56:03   RECEIVE  88...24A Ip          serv.dom   Ip 05/05 15:56:03   DELIVER  88...24A <blank> serv          <blank> 05/06 00:35:57   RECEIVE  88...0F5  Ip         serv.dom   Ip 05/06 00:35:57   DELIVER  88...0F5 <blank> serv          <blank>

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

What kind of connection is Outlook using? MAPI or POP3? If MAPI, is it set on cached mode? If POP3, check their send/receive options and see how often the client is set to do a send/receive. That may answer your question as to when the second user got the email.
