Exchange 2003 server with SP2 running on Windows 2003 SP2 new user cannot pop the emails
I have an Exchange 2003 server with SP2 running on Windows 2003 SP2, my external uses POP there emails. Everyone is working fine, then a few days ago I setup a new user, and this new user cannot pop the emails in the normal way. All settings are the same as other users. Settings under the Outlook account = Username - Servicesusername, then password. Services is our domain. POP3 server - pop.domain.co.nz, and smtp is which ever ISP they are with e.g smtp.xtra.co.nz - this is working on all other clients. I monitor our internal firewall, but nothing is getting blocked. I have restarted the POP3 service and SMTP service - any areas I should look???

Answer Wiki:
Have you tried sending a test message to the new user's address? The mailbox object may not have been created yet.

Is the user this is not working for using a different ISP that anyone else? Or is there someone else using the same ISP as this user?

Also, you say his settings are all the same, but you did not say specifically, is this user ENABLED for POP3 on his AD account (on the exchange features tab)?
