Exchange 2003 Mailbox Reassignment

Exchange 2003, Mailbox management

I am troubleshooting a problem and had to create a new user (for an existing employee). I'd like to move her mailbox to her new user account but can't figure out how to do this. (I'm leaving her "old" account out there in case this doesn't solve the problem.)

You could exmerge or Outlook it out to a pst file and just re-import the PST into new account.

From Exchange, right click the old mailbox and re-associate it with the new account.

Have a good one.

If you use Exmerge do the two step process. Exmerge the old mailbox to a .pst file and then before attempting to do the import from the .pst to the new mailbox via Exmerge, make sure you change the name of the .pst file to the new User ID.
