I have a single Exchange 2000 server running Exchange 2k SP3 plus all current hotfixes. About a month ago I started having a problem whereby whenever I restart the SMTP service, a mail that was sent to a distribution list resends. I have scoured the net, I tried everything I could think of and grasped quite a few straws. I have checked and double checked my virus software exclusions, I have put my left index finger in my right ear while hopping up and down saying "There's nothing like Exchange!" over and over, to no avail. I need to edit the queue directly to exorcise this demon, but, WHICH queue? What utility do I use? How do I positively identify the correct message. The message ID is always the same, but I never seem to find the (censored) to delete it. Any help, or suggestions of a constructive nature (Call me an IDIOT, but be constructive.) would be appreciated.
