exchange 2000 in a 5.5 organization
Here is the situation.
I have 2 exchange 5.5 sites. in one orginazation
both running exchange 5.5.
I have installed a new exchang 2000 server, in the organization joined it to site 1. I have adc running and replicating to both sites.. which are in two different domains. two way replication.
problem is if I create a new user in site2 and put his mailbox in the new exchange server which is in site1.
the gal on the exchange 5.5 servers dosent list the new user account.. the gal on the new 2000 exchange server does list his account..
problem is our IMC is still running on exchang 5.5 and dosent reference the gal on exchange 2000. so inbound mail is rejected to the new user because he is not listed in the exchange 5.5 gal.
does anyone know why the gal on the exchange 5.5 is not getting the updates..
If I create a new user whos account resides in the same site as the exchange 2000 (site1) the gal on exchange 5.5 does update.

A couple things you might want to check.
- Are there any errors in the event logs of the system hosting the ADC that might help? Try manually triggering a replication and then review the application event log. You may need to turn up logging on the ADC if you haven't done so already.
- Does the account specified on the connection agreement for that site have the necessary permissions to create an object in that site?
