You buy a license for the Exchange server and a CAL for each user that will have an email account. <a href=”http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/2010/en/us/exchange-2007-how-to-buy.aspx”>Licensing.</a> How many user email accounts will you need? That is how many CALs you buy. Allow for growth of course.
