What's the best way to upload an Excel Spreadsheet to the i5?

I've been trying to use XLPARSE2 but have experienced a lot of problems with hung up jobs and such.

At first, I thought it was authority. But, that's not the case.

Currently running V6R1.

Thanks,
Dave

I do not think there is a "Best" way to do it.
Much depends on frequency and tools that are available
For one time shots, I usually use MRC software to build the DB and insert the data.
    Occasionally I will use FTP.
Mostly I save the Spreadsheet to the IFS as a .csv file. Then use CPYFRMIMPF to get it into a iSeries DB.

A word of caution. Transferring data between Excel and the I-Series will sometimes mess up date formats. I have always converted the file to a .CSV first and then used the add-in.
