Whenever I export data from view to Excel using the export menu, I choose in the format of comma separated values once exporting is done, I open it in excel with comma separated data as in separate columns, till this everything is fine. Now when I see data in a particular column in excel for eg 1-2, 12-5, these value show as 1-jan, 12-May etc in these format, how to rectify these and show as in the exported values?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Instead of using Open in Excel, use Get External Data from Text (it’s under the Data menu).  Select the file name, click Import, then choose Delimited, click Next, check the box for Comma, click Next, highlight the column with the problematic data, set the data format to Text, click Finish. Done.

    This is really good.
I tried with open excel and selected text for the particular column where format was changed, it was working but a green corner was created for problematic cells, though it was showing correct text. But your method is really good, it does not show a green corner in the cell. Thanks a lot.
