Excel function to identify combination of text and numbers
I have a list of IDs (for example NSD2015, 751234, 92231J,V1819, GR5007 etc.)and would like to identify those from a list of thousands of IDs (each in a separate row in the same column). Tried VLookup but it appears that only works with values? Getting frustrated and I'm sure this is easy to do... just can't find which function to use. Thanks in advance!
