Microsoft Excel 2003
I am exporting a crystal report file to excel and date field TRADE_DATE is coming out strange. i.e PARTY_ID TRADE_DATE CX () 16-Jul-2003 CX 29-Jul-2003 CX 09-Dec-2003 Some trade_date fields are in Custom Type "dd-mmm-yyyy" format ( which is the correct format) but some are in Custom Type "() dd-mmm-yyyy" format which is incorrect. I am not sure why this happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I though the solution worked but i am still getting the error again:

QUESTION again:

I am exporting a crystal report file to excel and some rows in the date fields column get saved in excel as Custom Type “dd-mmm-yyyy” format (which i want) and some rows in the same date fields column gets saved as Custom Type “() dd-mmm-yyyy” format” which i dont want.

Even using this formula on the field: Date(right({CS_PR_T.TDATE},11)) i still get excel output that looks like this:

P_ID T_DATE
CX () 16-Jul-2003
CX 29-Jul-2003
CX 09-Dec-2003
