Recently installed MS Office 2010 on a Win 7x64 PC.  Several times while working in an Excel file on the server, there would appear the "Windows is attempting to recover a file" message. No Excel file or any Office application had been abruptly closed that would need a file to be recovered. I have searched and have not found anything related to this issue. This issue has occured on a top manager's PC and there are many others getting installed.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

In MS Office 2010 programs, this error occurs when u open a file type that is blocked by File Block settings in the Trust Center. To come out from this try out the follow steps:
1. Click the File tab.
2. Under Help, click Options.
3. Click Trust Center, and then click Trust Center Settings.
4. In the Trust Center, click File Block Settings.
