Dear, i want to create password for exchange server 2010 - to block any user from who can connect to the server to open exchange server is that possible? thanks

In all sincerity, you should not have users connecting to your Exchange server in such a way that they can access the desktop at all (including Exchange System Manager), if that is what you are asking. That scenario would expose a <i>significant</i> security issue that really needs to be addressed instead of continuing to permit users to run amok on a live server desktop which has a password on one program.

If you address the ominous server security issue, then the need for password-protecting the shortcut to ESM will be a non-issue.

Please correct me if my understanding of your question is incorrect.

    BTW, if you can't prevent physical access to the server, just don't sign on to it! The Exchange services are just that--services--and as such do not need you to sign on at all in order to run. They start up before you even see the prompt for ALT-CTRL-DEL.
