 ETL development and testing
Hi, I am inspectingthe BI delivery methods in my company looking for new efficient ways. We are working in the traditional "water flow" methodswere requierments being translated by development to ETL packages, testers translate it there way to some SQL script and compare both results of the SQL scripts and the package. Seems to me that instead of writtng the same solution twice it is better to have one process of close cooperatino between development and testing using the same platform, methods and tool. I am looking for a new methology, examples of similiar implementation in other companies. Thanks for your help

Answer Wiki:
Think of switching over from Waterfall method to Agile Scrum. You can try Agile Scrum method where the whole project is divided into small interations, each iteration is not more than 30 days and in each iteration, all stories are either closed or are taken as backlog to next iteration. There is lot of stuff available on Agile Scrum on <a href="http://itknowledgeexchange.techtarget.com/customapps/tag/agile/">techtarget blogs</a> itself.
