 ESX cluster with ESX 4.0U2 and ESXi 4.0U1 nodes
Cluster, ESX, ESX+ESXi, VMware ESX Cluster, VMware ESXI 4.0
we have 3 ESXi 4.0U1 nodes two of them are in cluster 1 is stand alone now we have new machine on which we want to isntall ESX 4.0U2 can we build a cluster with the for nodes so to have ESX and ESXi nodes combined

ESXi 4.0U1 , ESX 4.0U2 HP BL460cG6

I don't believe that is a supported configuration. I believe that all nodes of the cluster need to be the edition and same platform.
